AHS has been successful in increasing the income of rural families via sustainable agriculture, livelihood developments and watershed management. 

AHS has been successful in increasing the income of rural families via sustainable agriculture, livelihood developments and watershed management. By training the farming communities in planning, climate resilient practises and crop diversification, farm productivity has significantly improved in the region. Physical access to water has been a constant problem and AHS has provided In situ soil moisture & water conservation interventions thereby covering more than 14500 Ha land in more than 100 villages. Water Harvesting through construction of Cement structure , earthen nala structures ,rejuvenation  and repairing of old structures has helped the communities face dry spells and reduced crop failures.
Women play a vital role in the farm activities along with managing the house and children.
Enhanced the production of Maize due to the technical inputs of Dept. of Science & Technology

Diversified livelihood means such as livestock rearing such dairy management, goatary and poultry practices, has been introduced and promoted among the communities leading to improved income for the marginal families.
