Apeksha Homoeo Society is a registered as grass root NGO, working throughout Maharashtra especially in Vidabha region on human rights, livelihoods and community development for over 40 years.
Within ten years of vigorous work from establishment of organization, Apeksha learned that only community health initiatives are not enough to address and change the major points in problems of the community. Hence multi-dimensional development approach was adopted from 1990 by taking initiatives in implementation of government schemes, livelihood enhancement and income generation, sanitation and safe drinking water, education, etc.
Further Apeksha recognized children as primary stakeholder in prevention of sorrow in the community and securing bright future for the community. Hence Apeksha has centralized all its programs and activities for establishing child rights.
Organization has been working with the marginalized communities especially with the children & women on issues of livelihood, basic entitlements, health, education, sustainable agriculture, rural development and governance.
For larger advocacy, AHS has linked with the likeminded organizations and built alliances, it linked the network of 25 NGOs in Vidarbha region to form “Child Rights Alliance”. Apeksha has also developed network called Kisan Mitra to work on issues of Agrarian Crises & Farmers Suicides in Maharashtra & Madhya Pradesh States.
